Premiering in the Green Zone at COP28, ActNowFilm: youth climate leaders in conversation with climate experts is a short film featuring 1-2-1 conversations between youth climate leaders and world-leading climate experts. It aims to act as a clarion call for the integration of young people into national climate negotiating teams and global climate decision-making processes.

 

The film features prominent youth climate leaders including Pamela EA, Inés Yábar, Renata Koch Alvarenga, Angela Busheska, Nicc Moeono and Dinh-Long Pham in conversation with world-leading climate experts including Christiana Figueres, Hindou Oumarou Ibrahim, Professor Katharine Hayhoe, Dr Myrna Cunningham Kain, Ambassador Patricia Espinosa Cantellano, Sir David King and Professor Johan Rockström.

 

The premiere of the film will be accompanied by a panel event, featuring:

  • Mary Robinson, Chair of the Elders, Adjunct Professor for Climate Justice at Trinity College Dublin, Ireland
  • Moliehi Mafantiri, Environmental scientist, co-founder of Barali, Lesotho
  • Dawda Cham, Deputy Executive Director of HELP-Gambia, The Gambia
  • Dr Amy Munro-Faure, Co-Director of ActNowFilm, Head of Education and Student Engagement, Cambridge Zero, University of Cambridge
  • Amy Thompson, Co-Director of ActNowFilm, Head of Policy Programmes and Communications, University of Bath Institute for Policy Research
