COP28 UAE will unite everyone, from government and businesses, to civil society, youth and NGOs, in a concerted drive for inclusive progress towards climate action.
Blue Zone
The Blue Zone welcomes negotiators, world leaders, media, and observers. The Blue Zone is an UNFCCC-managed site that will host formal negotiations, panel discussions and speaking events across the two weeks of the conference.
Green Zone
The Green Zone welcomes non-accredited delegates, including youth groups, civil society, academia, artists, and businesses, to have their voices heard through exhibitions, workshops, and talks that promote inclusive dialogues and awareness about climate action.
International Youth Climate Delegate Program
The International Youth Climate Delegate Program (International YCDP) will embed 100 youth within the international climate policy negotiation process, with a priority for delegates from countries on the list of Least Developed Countries (LDCs), Small Island Developing States (SIDS), Indigenous Peoples and other minority groups around the world.This program will be overseen by the COP28 Youth Climate Champion Her Excellency Shamma Al Mazrui, in collaboration with YOUNGO, the Official Children and Youth Constituency of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC)
