To accelerate deployment of clean energy in Africa, we must work together to address barriers to investments - both within African countries and at a systemic level - and implement necessary changes with transformative partnerships

The initiative will bring together African Governments, initiative’s partners and other supporting institutions to offer accelerated end-to-end green growth solutions for committed government.

The Africa Green Industrialization event at COP28, jointly arranged by the COP28 Presidency and the Government of Kenya, will bring together leaders from Africa and the United Arab Emirates, investors, and captains of industries to highlight Africa's opportunities for green industrialization, showcase successful renewable projects, and propel Africa toward a carbon-neutral economy. Africa's Heads of State will lay out their vision and the necessary policy framework for African sustainable development, actively implementing the Nairobi Declaration with the UAE-led $4.5 billion Africa Green Investment initiative at its core and will also issue a call-to-action for global stakeholders to participate in this momentous opportunity to fast-track the green industrialization of Africa.
