How do I access archive footage on the Media Library?
You can access archive footage through a wired network connection to the Media Library. Throughout the Media Centre you will find RJ45 cables in each workspace in the open plan work areas and cubicles. Turn off your Wi-Fi and connect your device directly to the cable, then open your browser and navigate to http://library.cop28.network/. Select either the Broadcast or Photography drive for MAC or Windows and follow the onscreen instructions.

How can I access live video and audio?
Live video can be accessed from the broadcast workstations with selectable HD-SDI feeds accessible via a touchscreen router panel. Live video can be accessed in the TV cubicles with five HD-SDI feeds allocated to each cubicle, with a touchscreen router panel allowing concurrent selection of all the host broadcast source signals. Radio broadcasters in a cubicle or workstation can access two analogue audio feeds at line level.

The XLR audio distribution desk is located in the press workroom where you can access and record live audio from Plenary 1 & 2, available in either English or floor language. How can I access photos of the event?
The best photographs of COP28 each day will be available on the UNFCCC Flickr account.
There is also an Expo City Dubai Content Portal with searchable photos from the COP28 official photography team. If you have not already registered for access to the portal, you can click the link above and follow the steps to register.

How do I connect to the Wi-Fi?
You can access the free Wi-Fi with our auto connect PlugNPlay with no password required.
How do I use the printers?
The free for use printing area is located in the press workroom in the Media Centre. To use the printer, email your document to cop28@conf-print.com, you will receive a return email containing a PIN that can be entered on the printer touchpad to print the document from any of the printers. If you require further assistance, you can visit the IT Help Desk.
As a sustainability initiative, documents will automatically print in black and white, double sided and a maximum of 20 pages. Please consider the environment and only print what is necessary.

Where can I find the IT Help Desk?
The IT Help Desk is located in the press workroom and is operational from 07:00 to 22:00 daily to support with any queries. You can also find the IT field technicians roaming the Media Centre wearing green vests.

How do I book a locker in the Media Centre?
Please visit either the Media Information or IBC Manager’s desk in the Media Centre for locker enquiries. Lockers are limited and will be issued on a first come, first served basis.
How can I access the free to use laptops?
There are 50 free to use laptops available on a first come, first served basis in the press workroom of the Media Centre.
Please make sure you save all documents regularly on an external hard drive. If laptops are left unattended for more than 30 minutes all data will be erased, and the laptop reset.

Can I listen to live audio through headsets?
Infrared headsets and receivers are available to monitor the live audio from Plenary rooms 1 & 2 and Press Conference rooms 1 & 2. The audio is selectable between floor and English languages.
Where can I collect a headset?
You can collect a headset and receiver on your way into the Media Centre from the Media Information desk, where a member of staff will instruct you how to select your chosen channel. Headsets and receivers must be returned after use. Hard of hearing headsets are also available.
How do I access the Plenary rooms?
Media access to the Plenary rooms is restricted. You will have received a ‘note to correspondents’ from the UNFCCC which includes information on how to register your interest in attending events. You can also register your interest at the IBC Manager’s desk the day before the event you would like to cover. Pools will be selected from the registered applicants and notified by UNFCCC. To access the Plenary, you will meet at the identified meeting point and be escorted in with a UNFCCC representative.
Is there a daily media briefing?
Daily media briefings will be held in Press Conference 1 at 9:00 and 13:30 daily from 2 December until the final day of COP28. Access is on a first come, first served basis.
How can I access a Press Conference?
There are two Press Conference rooms in the Blue Zone, one near to Plenary 1 (zone B8) and the other in the Opportunity district (zone B6). Check your COP28 app for the Press Conference locations.

How do I book an Interview room?
There are two quiet interview rooms available. To make a booking, please visit the media bookings team at the IBC Manager’s desk or email mediabookings@identityglobal.ae.
Can I use a stand-up position in the Media Centre?
There are four non allocated, unserviced stand-up positions in the broadcast area of the Media Centre that can be used on an ad hoc basis. Please make sure all equipment is packed away after each use.
How do I book a satellite uplink?

Where can I store large items?
If you have large items to store, such as flight cases, please visit the IBC Manager’s desk for assistance.
Where can I get support with other queries?
There are two information desks in the Media Centre. The Media Information desk is located next to the entrance of the Media Centre. The IBC Manager’s desk is in the broadcast area and is where you can find Tim Davis, the IBC Manager and the Media Bookings team. Also look out for members of the media team roving the Media Centre.
TRANSPORT INFORMATION
Blue Zone media are encouraged to use the Dubai Metro to reach Expo City Dubai via the Metro Red line. For further information and to plan your journey visit the RTA website.
What is the best way to travel to COP28?
Blue Zone accredited media are encouraged to use the Dubai Metro to reach Expo City Dubai via the metro red line.
COP28 UAE has provided complimentary public transport for Blue Zone delegates via the use of the NOL card received during the registration process at the COP28 site. The NOL card is valid for the duration of COP28.

Can I catch the metro out of hours?
During metro off-hours, 00:00 to 05:00, shuttle buses will be provided to the following key hotel areas across Dubai:
The shuttle bus frequency is every 20 minutes. Access to the shuttle buses is at the Expo City Dubai Plaza bus station upon presentation of your UNFCCC conference badge.

The shuttle bus frequency is every 20 minutes. Access to the shuttle buses is at the Expo City Dubai Plaza bus station upon presentation of your UNFCCC conference badge.
Is there public transport to COP28 from Abu Dhabi?
Blue Zone accredited media staying in Abu Dhabi may use the complimentary shuttle buses to and from the COP28 site during the event. Access to the buses is upon display of the UNFCCC conference badge. The service will be running from 21 November to 13 December.
Can I park my own car?
There is a dedicated car park for Blue Zone delegates, including media, situated approximately 650 meters from the COP28 entrance. A free shuttle service, with the capability to carry equipment, runs every 5 minutes from the car park to the entrance, the shuttle bus frequency is reduced overnight. The car park is accessible 24/7, upon display of your UNFCCC conference badge.
Where are the taxi bays located?
Taxi bays are located at the entrance to COP28 under the Expo 2020 Metro station. The walking distance from the taxi drop off to the COP28 entrance is approximately 250 meters. There are additional taxi bays servicing the Green Zone at the Opportunity, Mobility and Sustainability entrances.
Can I use buggies to get around the Blue Zone?
There are a limited number of buggies operating within the Blue Zone which are reserved for People of Determination (POD) and VVIP guests. To support the media with transporting their equipment across site, there is a media trolley service available. Look out for the ground staff operated trolleys stationed outside the Media Centre, at the arrival plaza and at the crossover points into the Green Zone. The trolleys are available on a first come, first served basis.
How do I access the Green Zone?
The Green Zone can be accessed by foot from the Blue Zone via two entrance points in the Opportunity and Mobility petals. Please check your COP28 app for specific locations.
Alternatively, there is a shuttle bus servicing the Green Zone entrances. The shuttle bus operates every 3-5 minutes, with reduced services overnight. See the map below for the station locations.

Media Centre operational hours
The Media Centre is operational from 30 November until 12 December (or until COP28 officially closes) 24 hours a day, with reduced services overnight, between 22:00 - 07:00

To support media transporting their equipment across site, there is a media trolley service available. • Media lounge - A grab and go retail café will be available for all media offering a range of food and drink options. The operational hours are 07:00 – 22:00 daily.
• There are vending machines available outside Plenary 2 for 24-hour access to refreshments.

Nearby prayer rooms are available in DEC North and DEC South halls. Prayer rooms are also available in the Visitor Centres throughout the Blue Zone. Please check your COP28 app for specific locations.

Hydration points
There are multiple hydration points in the Media Centre and across the COP28 site. Please use your refillable water bottles.
Smoking area
The closest smoking area is located in front of the Media Centre, close to the DEC South entrance. Smoking is only permitted inside the allocated smoking areas.

Lost and Found
For lost and found items, please visit the IBC Manager’s desk in the Blue Zone Media Centre. Lost items will be stored for the duration of COP28 and if not claimed, handed over to authorities at the end of the event.
Green Zone Media Centre
Blue Zone accredited media can access and use the Green Zone Media Centre, located next to Al Wasl Plaza and operated by the National Media Office. The Green Zone Media Centre provides a range of services and facilities for media attending COP28. Please check your COP28 app for the Green Zone Media Centre location.

What do I do if I lose or forget my UNFCCC conference badge?
COP28 participants who forget or lose their UNFCCC conference badge can proceed to the registration desks at the arrival plaza for assistance.
How do I attend the event virtually?
The COP28 virtual platform is accessible to all registered participants. Depending on badge type, the platform allows media representatives to watch meetings, network with other participants, and create self-service online meetings. If you are a participant, please login using the email address that you registered with for COP28. Access the COP28 platform here.
