COP28 has helped facilitate the launch of the Innovate for Climate Tech Coalition, a new initiative to support the development and adoption of climate tech solutions, with a focus on the Global South.
Innovate for Climate Tech is a global coalition anchored by Masdar City, Tencent and the Catalyst, with the ambition to strengthen Global South climate tech ecosystems, scale climate tech solutions globally, democratize access to knowledge and capacity building, and spur climate tech innovation. The coalition intends to reach its goals through a range of online and offline initiatives.
The coalition has started the onboarding of program, knowledge and roll-out partners to join its efforts including:
