Climate Change and Transboundary Challenges in Middle East and Africa (MEA): New Convergences in Discourse and Policy
TRENDS Research & Advisory is organizing a 90-minute event to launch a book edited by TRENDS Research & Advisory titled “Climate Change and Transboundary Challenges in Middle East and Africa (MEA): New Convergences in Discourse and Policy”.
• The book draws attention to transboundary impacts of climate change on: (1) conflict & migration; (2) food systems; (3) public health; (4) water security; (5) energy; (6) development finance; (7) carbon markets; (8) circular economy; and (9) resource geopolitics.
• The thirteen book chapters exhibit considerable diversity of authors in terms of gender, nationality, and age with authors from Algeria, The Gambia, Trinidad, India, Spain, Russia, France, Türkiye, the Netherlands, the UK, and the UAE.
• The 90-minute panel discussion will mirror the themes of the book and reflect different national and regional perspectives at the intersection of climate change and the themes of the book.
• The geographic scope of the book and panel discussion will be the Middle East and Africa.
• Innovation aspects are covered mainly by energy, climate finance, and circular economy chapters.
