The contribution of cultural communities to climate action and sustainability – through their own activities and by mobilizing constituencies and networks of trust – is not sufficiently recognized in the UAE. Differences in measuring and reporting often result in a disconnected landscape of isolated contributions, rather than an industry-wide constituency. How are cultural districts and communities in the UAE embedding net zero practices in their work and by extension, in our cities? What waste reduction, recycling and sustainability practices are having the biggest positive impact?
