Scaling Global Capital for the Clean Energy Transition

4 Dec

14:30-16:00 GST

Putting the world economy on track to reach net zero by 2050 requires trillions in investment annually by 2030. Coordination among policymakers, regulators, multilateral development banks, private financial institutions, and philanthropies has resulted in hundreds of billions of investments that are driving a clean energy transition. While capital is flowing, significant challenges still remain. Panelists will discuss how to improve the bankability of projects, and how public and private sectors are working together to accelerate the transition in developed and developing markets. Blended finance and partnerships with MDBs and DFIs will be highlighted as critical tools to increase capital deployment.
