This high-level event will discuss the critical role of carbon management in keeping pathways for 1.5°C within reach. COP Presidency and IEA will frame the discussion by outlining the role for carbon management as one of the four pillars for reaching net zero emissions globally. Ministers and High-Level Representatives from Carbon Management Challenge participant countries will highlight the Carbon Management Challenge as a driver of global ambition and activity, and national actions and leadership on carbon management their countries are already taking. The event will welcome and announce new countries joining the Carbon Management Challenge, and conclude with a call to action
