Expo City Dubai in Collaboration with UN Global Compact | Multi Stakeholder Roundtable on Youth Engagement with Climate Action for a Just Transition

5 Dec

13:00-15:00 GST

We must make a concerted effort that the transition to a greener global economy is just, inclusive, and the positive impacts are being reaped by all. In all of this, it is still evident that if critical members of society like youth and especially women, children, and the poor are not included in the energy transition, the success and objectives of the transition are risked as well as the achievement of the Paris Agreement and the Sustainable Development Goals.  The roundtable will serve as a platform for ongoing collaboration and action among stakeholders committed to empowering Arab youth for climate action. It is expected to inspire concrete initiatives and partnerships that support the engagement of youth in addressing climate issues while addressing unemployment and skills mismatches.
