Carrefour, operated by Majid Al Futtaim in the UAE, is launching a concept sustainability store, located in COP28’s Blue Zone. The one-of-a-kind store, catering to 30,000 visitors from across the world, offers a unique, eco-conscious shopping experience, with a focus on circular design, product health and sustainability, and educational initiatives. As an regional first, Carrefour will become the only retailer in the region to share the sustainability ratings of its products by partnering with ‘HowGood’, an independent research database that assesses ingredients and products for environmental and social impact. As part of its ongoing commitment to sustainability, Carrefour will also introduce the Choose Better programme, which aims to empower and educate customers by making healthier and more sustainable choices accessible, affordable, and appealing.
